Me Vs. The Grumpopotamus – A Hilarious and Heartfelt

Children’s Book About Big Feelings,

Bad Moods, and Finding Inner Strength

Have you ever had one of those days when everything goes wrong

the moment you wake up? So has our young hero—and now,

there’s a Grumpopotamus on the loose!

In this laugh-out-loud and relatable story, one bad morning turns

into a wild and imaginative battle against the biggest,

moodiest creature of all: The Grumpopotamus. With the help

of a fearless (and funny!) team of sidekicks—BullyBoar,

Distractocat, Frankie the Fire-Breathing Dragon, and

more—the child tries everything to chase the Grumpo

away. But nothing works… until they remember something

important: courage, kindness, and a little self-awareness might

be the strongest tools of all.

Perfect for readers ages 5–11, this beautifully illustrated

picture book is:

  • A fun way to talk about big emotions and emotional regulation

  • Great for bedtime or classroom read-alouds

  • A tool for teaching self-awareness, mindfulness, and problem-solving

  • Full of silly creatures and surprises that will keep kids giggling

πŸ’₯ Ideal for fans of The Bad Seed, The Color Monster, and Grumpy Monkey

Whether your child is dealing with a bad mood, frustration,

or just a rough morning, Me Vs. The Grumpopotamus reminds

us all that it’s okay to have grumpy days—and that

those days don’t last forever.

Because sometimes…

It’s okay to be a Grumpopotamus.

Four Point Five Stars

Lovely read. Sometimes we are all Grumpopotamus. There are still some days that we all have.

But the little boy is determined to fight the big Grumptotamus and

he throws his various toys to fight the Grumpopotamus. What happens after that?

Fun, imaginative and enjoyable read. The illustrations were beautiful too. Excellent read for adults and children.
