Gold on Silver Mountain by Alan Howard (Author), Abigail Tan (Illustrator)

A St. Patrick's Day story where success isn't a matter of luck, it is a matter of choice.

Gold on Silver Mountain is a book purposely written for parents that want to instill values of individuality and help prepare children for teenage years where they will get exposed to social media.

Today, children are under more pressure than ever to abide by popular opinion, and critical thinking is more challenging than others.

This book is written to provide an easy and fun way for kids to understand the value of believing in one self, understanding the road to success is about working smart and not hard, and to instill values preparing children for adolescence.

My Review:

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Treasure beyond the rainbow

Four Point Three Stars

The story follows Larry the leprechaun who does something different than what the other leprechauns are doing. He is confused whether he has to do what seems logical or follow the rest and his father Howie gives him some beautiful advice.

While the illustrations are neat and colorful, the book’s true strength lies in its timely message about resisting social pressure and valuing individuality.

Lovely book to build confidence in kids in the present times of social media and peer pressure.
