Sprout's First Tooth A Magical Adventure for Children Losing Their First Baby Tooth by Lizzy Hall

Is your child losing their first tooth? Turn a milestone moment into a magical adventure!

Etta's loose tooth is out at last. She falls into a velvet sleep dreaming of a special visitor, unaware that tonight is no ordinary night in Fairyland. It’s Bring-Your-Child-to-Work Night, and Megan the tooth fairy is bringing her son, Sprout, along for his very first mission!

A Big Adventure for a Little Fairy

Sprout is brave, but he’s still a bit "wobbly-on-his-wings." From navigating the shadows of a giant bedroom to befriending a pouncing cat named Conan, Sprout must find his courage to help his mum collect the teeny treasure from under Etta's pillow.

When the morning sun begins to peek through the curtains, the race is on! Will Sprout’s brilliant idea and a ride on a furry friend get mother and son back to the magic door home before it vanishes at sunrise?

Why parents and children will love Sprout’s First Tooth:

  • Celebrates Milestones: The perfect gift to calm "first tooth" jitters and build excitement for the tooth fairy’s visit.

  • Encourages Perseverance: Sprout shows young readers that even if you struggle at first, you can succeed with a bit of determination and a "can-do" attitude.

  • Heartwarming Family Themes: A beautiful depiction of a mother’s pride and a son’s desire to help, making it a perfect bedtime read-aloud.

  • Imaginative Storytelling: Features a clever "magic wand" solution that explains how the tooth fairy slips under a heavy pillow.

Written and illustrated by Lizzy Nye, this charming tale belongs on every child’s bookshelf next to their tooth fairy pillow.

My Review:

🌟🌟🌟🌟

What a delightful read!

Four Point Four Stars

I was pleasantly surprised by this story, which takes a refreshingly unique approach to the traditional picture book. We follow Sprout, a wobbly young fairy and his mother, Megan, on a high-stakes mission to collect Etta’s baby tooth. Their journey is full of excitement right from adventurous hurdles to a nail-biting near-miss. Ultimately, Sprout rises to the occasion to save the day.

It’s a sweet, engaging read for toddlers, topped off with cute illustrations.
