Dear Elliot: MM Romantic Suspense Thriller by Ari Burton

Some people thought Marcus was a monster.

Elliot believed he saw a traumatized boy hiding in the shadows...

Marcus Webb, whose story once splashed across headlines, now lives forgotten behind prison walls, serving a life sentence.

Elliot, a journalist harboring his own shadows, reaches out to uncover the real truth behind Marcus's crimes. He wants to understand. He wants answers. Ultimately, is he reaching for something he cannot define?

Through letters and phone calls, the line between reporter and prisoner begins to blur. With every word shared, Elliot is drawn deeper into Marcus's world, a trove of hidden secrets, childhood ghosts, and a darkness that neither man can escape.

Not all towers are built of stone, but guilt and longing, too.

Some ropes are formed from hemp, whilst strands of words can also weave strong bonds.

In a world of locked doors and blurred reflections, does reaching into the darkness offer salvation or destruction?

My Review:

🌟🌟🌟🌟

Lovesick and Lethal

It is a creepy exploration of the thin line between curiosity and obsession, as a journalist descends into a psychological abyss to uncover the man behind the serial murders.. The book mentions the evolution of a traumatized boy into a notorious serial killer, forcing the reader to confront the immense pain that forged a monster. The romance that blossoms between Elliot and Marcus through their letters and phone calls is intense and unsettling, weaving a bond between them. It is a gritty thriller that captures the romance of two damaged souls trying for salvation in a world of darkness.
